One of the worst kept secret is that employees make less on average every year. There are scores of reasons for this.Staying employed at the same company over a period of  years on average is going to make you earn less over your lifetime. Very substantially less - perhaps by as much as 60%. Think average pay rise spans , inflation rates and what has come to be talked about as 'market trends'.What are these 'market trends' ? These are the various ways economies can go - up , down , recessions and bumps and firms seize on these sentiments to cry alarm , declare pay freezes , cancelling bonuses , imposing pay cuts and even worse write out pink slips.Office politics pitch in too on the robbery.
