Why Dream ?

Dreams move us forward. They populate us with energy. They make us unstoppable , fill us with gas.Dreams lift you out of the swamps pointing you towards the oceans.

Many have shelved their dreams or thrown them out the window or lost hope on being what they'd rather be.We must remember that we are where we are, and what we are because of ourselves. You are in your present situation because you have decided to be there and taken nest in the comforts you are getting . YOU made all the decisions and picked the choices you did , to nestle in your present peggings.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Take Mark Twains advice - it could light up or 'save' the rest of your days from humdrum.

Don't Get Stuck ....

Poverty is going to spread because governments are not grappling with issues that are capsizing the boats of families . In most countries the  political class , is so far distanced from the hardships of a normal life that they can't even connect with the poor.

Despite having resources aplenty political leaders in country after country have come under no pressure to be truly driven to substantially reduce poverty . In several cases families  whose lives have gone under water , who can't even pay for their daily provisions just give up on seeking help and wait for an end to their days. They are just a health bill, a payday , a loaf of bread away from slipping under drowning their families along. As voices decry this apathy the toll on families continues to spread .

Ultimately whose baby is it ? Is it the government's? Or helping hands from kith and kin ? Or yours ?

The first instance of stewardship is always the individual's.

Doing something about what is coming or preparing against doomsday is still the individual's.

Don't fail yourself.

Be A Sheep

Sheep have traits, characteristics, mannerisms and feelings that make them an excellent illustration of being bold in life.

Sheep are not always the passive creatures that one imagines in green pastures. Everyone who raises sheep will tell you, “Never turn your back on a ram.” Many have been seriously injured when they ignored this advice. The butting of rams seems almost ceremonial among them. They do it apparently to establish social rank, to get food, to get out of a gate, or to settle their differences. Sometimes they do it to gain attention.

Sheep have excellent peripheral vision. Their large, rectangular pupils allow them to see almost 360 degrees. In fact, they can see behind themselves without turning their heads!

By nature, they will always seek light and higher ground in the pasture

They have an exceptional capacity to sense danger

A Bridge You'll Come To ...

There are bridges to cross in life

And forever and forever,
As long as the river flows,
As long as the heart has passions,
   As long as life has woes;

There is a bridge, I’ve been told,
Legend declares it is very old,
Far away, it is not easy to find,
Some say it takes a whole lifetime.

We begin to groan with middle age years,
Time passing too fast has become our fear.
Regrets for things for which we never had time,
Alone now, we are left with memories sublime.

Tottering, doddering, now I am frail,
Nodding, I fall asleep and dream of a trail,
It leads to that bridge, of which I was told
Long, long ago, before I grew old .

The Blight Of Averageism

Image result for sailing out of a harbour images clip art

From the crib to the tombstones we are ticked off against the everpresent yardstick of 'average'; being like everybody else..

Everybody around us wields the hammers of making us average. From  family to extended kith and kin and out in the marketplace the forces forging averageism are invisible but breathing and beating us into compliance and submission.

These 'factories' work more silently than the night in making sure we are like everybody else. You can spend all your life in this twilight zone and not be knowing what's happened all these whiles or years at all to your life as far as going places in life's concerned.

Take for example skill training . The old idea of artisanship training by a master of an apprentice has been replaced by say about 25 people placed in line to operate machines to put out a product.

Talent is relegated , ignored and real born-with skills get buried by disuse and having been put away.

Going from being ‘average’ to ‘outstanding’ requires taking risks and making bold moves . That's the only cure against the scourge of averageism.

Sail out of average's harbours.Try something new.

The Personal Touch To Building Your Business

Starting an online business without the radius constraints of a brick-and-mortar business , your business being open 24/7 to a marketplace without boundaries catches the fascination of many a solopreneur. But building a thriving audience or scaling your business isn't something that's gonna fall out of the sky. MARKETING your service or product requires being a beaver.

Beavers are workaholic small animals that build canals, lodges and dams. They don't much bother biting cold ; they're active all through winter to maintain use of their ponds. While Man's activities have interfered or destroyed watershed levels and habitats for other animals BUT beavers B-U-I-L-D , going the other way.

They engineer the way water flows through landscape. The work that they put their little shoulders to,also keeps erosion at bay,so plants can survive.Their unsung labors allow for local aquifers to recharge thus preserving the ecosystem for mankind.
